Valerie R. Coffman PhD, CEO and Founder
After earning a B.S. in Physics from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Cornell, Valerie spent five years at the National Institute of Science and Technology writing software for Materials Science research. She left N.I.S.T. in July 2011 to combine her talents for crunching numbers and programming with her love of cooking (and eating) great food by founding Feastie. She is also a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School INNoVATE program and the Founder Institute.
Jessica Sanders, Director of Content Marketing
Jessica received her B.A. in Costume Design for Theatre from UCSB, and spent the next 7 years working in the world of theatre and design. Always interested in food, cooking, and health, she pursued her love of food by taking pastry classes at a culinary school and cooking for family and friends. She is especially passionate about healthy eating and nutrition and a whole foods approach to cooking and eating. She began blogging about food in 2009 and joined the Feastie team in 2011.
