New at Feastie: Recipe Bookmarking and the "I Cooked This" Button

Now you can use Feastie to keep track of which recipes you're planning to cook and which recipes you've been cooking.

It's simple: just click the heart on any recipe to save it to your bookmarks or click the "I Cooked This" button (the chef's hat) to save it to your cooking history. Then visit your profile to see the recipes you've saved and the recipes you've cooked.

Each time you click the "I Cooked This" button, the recipe is added to your profile with the current date so you can keep track of how many times and how often you cook a certain recipe. You can delete recipes from your cooking history from your profile page. Just hover your mouse over the recipe in your cooking history and click the red 'X' in the upper right corner. You can delete a recipe bookmark from any page -- just click on the dimmed heart.

We also show you how many Feastie users have bookmarked each recipe and how many times they've cooked it. While it may be fun to see how many times a recipe has been tweeted, liked, pinned or +1'ed, what you really need to know in order to choose a recipe is how many times other people have acutally cooked it. Afterall, when someone tweets a recipe moments after it's published, chances are they haven't really cooked it yet. That's why we invented the "I Cooked This" button. Each time you click it, you're helping other cooks choose the tastiest recipe and you're giving the recipe author kudos.

We'd love to know what you think. Leave us a comment or submit feedback. How will you use the "I Cooked This" button?
